Москва, Царицынские пруды

According to available data, this is the third observation of the species in Russia and the first photo on the website. The gull was discovered by E. Shmeleva on 23 October 2025, in Moscow at the Tsaritsyno Ponds. For the first time, the Ring-billed Gull, which inhabits North America and regularly visits Europe, was tracked by a tracker to Nizhny Novgorod in 2022, where its nesting with a Common Gull was recorded. The following year, it was also found there.
